A wonderfully traditional hand made milk chocolate selection of fondant creams and caramels enrobed in milk chocolate, a milk chocolate lovers dream. Each chocolate is mixed, dipped and finished by hand meaning each box has its own unique charm. We don't include a chocolate menu as traditionally a box of chocolates was an experience for the senses, where every bite is a surprise.

There was no menu card, and it seemed there were a few more marzipans than I anticipated. Although still lovely, not enough variation.

These are the best milk chocolates ever. Personally I don’t like caramels as I worry for the fillings in my teeth but that aside they are a real treat.

these are my favourite chocolates - a wonderful mix of soft cremes , caramel and marzipan

I always head for Friars whenever I am lucky enough to be in Keswick, but if course this year has meant I have not been able to visit!I was thrilled to see I could order on line and found it was so easy to do.The chocolates arrived speedily and well packaged and I am afraid ,although they were meant for Christmas, we have already opened them and they are as delicious as ever!So I am now ordering more and sending these straight to Santa

Very very disappointed. Bought for my partner on his birthday..he used to work alongside Fortnum & Masons chocolatier. The packaging was poor and the contents even worse. Couldn’t identify the flavours. They were nearly all soft centres and very bland. I now know why you do not provide an identification sheet. Probably the worst box of hand made chocolates I have ever purchased

Unusual to find a milk chocolate violet cream, tasted so nice. This box was brilliant, old favourites mixed with some I'd never had the pleasure to try before. The kids liked this box because they only eat milk chocolate, they loved the old fashioned, classic flavours, they'd never had them before as a lot of these chocolates aren't easy to get anymore. The quality is very high, so they'd make a great present as they so look good (and taste even better.)
