Friars Rose and Violet Creams - 15 Chocolates

Bought as a birthday present as evocative of a memory of my grandma. Mum loved the gesture but found the filling too sweet. Dark chocolate was a winner tho.

These chocolates are our favourite, we buy them for a special treat on Birthdays and Christmas. The quality is well worth the expense, great to be able to get something of such good quality..... I have eaten many chocolates over the years and these are the best.

Absolutely beautiful and delicious as always. There was a problem with the first box sent as there had been some sun damage due to the heatwave, the wonderful customer service at Friars promptly rectified this and sent out a replacement for which I am very grateful.

Lovely chocolates. Some of our favourites. Excellent dark chocolate shells filled with fondant unmistakeably redolent of roses, and violets. They are very sweet and we do limit our consumption to one each per day, and really enjoy that mmm moment as the flavour bursts upon the senses.

These chocolates were a present for myself. My mother used to buy me Floris rose and violet creams when she was in London in the 60's and they were my favourites. I must say yours are absolutely delicious I can't recommed them enough.

Absolutely delicious. As the rose and violet creams melt they exude flavour. Beautifully, fragrant rose and violet tones, that then merge with the quality dark chocolate.
The only suggestion I would make is to use less sugar in the creams.

I bought these in error as I didn't realise at the time that they are not suitable for vegetarians. I contacted the company asking about the ingredients and received a reply almost instantly. It turns out that the colouring (cochineal) is only in the crystallized petals, so I took them off the chocolates and enjoyed. Delicious.

I just love Friars Rose and Violet cream dark chocolates! These are my absolute favourites and each time they arrive I cannot believe how divine they are. I’ve tried most of the others but these can’t be beaten. I can’t even share them and have a few every day.
