I was given a box of these chocolates by a friend. They were so delicious I bought them as a gift for a beloved God-mother...and a different content, ie kirsch cherry liqueur chocolates for my brother, who could not wait to open them, tasted a couple and said, they were 'sublime'.....a word he would not usually use...so sublime is in his view the taste of a special Friars chocolate!

While the filler is perfect, suddenly the rose on top has been diluted to a few sprinkles. Not the same thing at all. Really disappointed, especially as we have buying these chocolates for many years.

This was a replacement for a box containing only Violet Creams which was wrongly sent.
I still haven't had confirmation that Friars have received the box of Violet Creams which I returned to them.
I have bought from Friars for a number of years and previously their service has always been impeccable.
The replacement box of Rose & Violet Creams tastes as good as ever.

Beautiful product, they look and taste wonderful. My only gripe is that they should have been packaged with more protection. These were bought as a gift of course and they arrived by post in a simple box just taped over. No real damage done but the box was slightly dented and it was possible to see the contents through the gap where the lid of the box had been incorrectly folded under rather than slotted down correctly, like a pizza box. And no paper, bubble wrap or other padding was around them. Improve on that and it’s a five star review

Wow - you can really tell these are hand made - the lovely rich dark chocolate is balanced beautifully with the sweet cream filling. Violet and Rose (along with Mint) are probably the oldest flavours we have from the original ingredients made since long ago. Each chocolate is just enough, you aren't left wanting more (until tomorrow!) Sometimes the traditional ones are the best.

These are an English classic. However friars’ are exceptional. Smooth, flavoursome fondant with dark crisp chocolate shell. These are so good I would feel sad without them.

Best ever rose &violet creams I’ve ever tasted. Honestly so delicious & flavours are just perfect. I’m over the moon they’re dairy free & I’ll most definitely be ordering more & soon. The violet cream consistency is softer than the rose cream & is more fluid but it doesn’t detract from the amazing flavour. Thickness and taste of the chocolate is also to perfection. Highly highly recommended & a very special gift to give.
