Chocs good, service excellent. Royal Mail allowed these expensive chocolates to arrive a bit heat damaged but still edible. Rang Friars just to let them know the post had messed up and they insisted on sending a second undamaged box.

The crate arrived on time and the packing was impressive. Unfortunately many chocolates had leaked inside the tin foil wrapping with an unsightly, sticky, unsightly deposit which took some of the pleasure out of it.
If this had not happened I would have rated the crate "excellent". As it is I am not sure I want to re-order it.

These are for Christmas. Actually we are going to use them as part of an Advent calendar we designed ourselves. Looking forward to Advent. We remember liqueurs in sugar crusts inside chocolate from childhood so this is a trip down memory lane. Sugar crusts have been dispensed with by so many manufacturers of liqueur chocolate. I've been looking for liqueur chocolates like this for some years. These were very nice, with a decent amount of good, liquid liqueur inside, not too thick chocolate, and an internal sugar crust. The latter was quite substantial, and perhaps could be less so. However, overall these chocolates were very good and I will be buying again.

I used to love these chocolates. They were far superior to any other products available. I have bought them every xmas for years. However, I have only given 3 stars, because although the quality of the chocolates are still supreme, they have been ruined by the fact that 3 of the flavours have changed, and I don't like calvados or amaretto. I am absolutely gutted, but even more annoying, is that the packaging is still identical, so didn't realise this until I received them. A very costly mistake on my part.

They’ve changed the contents without changing the packaging. They are not as good as they used to be. There are 5 different liqueurs, only 2 have remained the same. Really annoyed. These are not as nice as they used to be.

A really good quality box of liqueurs very nicely presented in the crate . Some flavours are not entirely as I would imagine them to be but all of them are quite potent , very enjoyable.
