Friars Delectably Dark Chocolates - 24 Chocolates

These are the second lot I have purchased. The centres are delicious and unique.
The combination of centres mix well together. Lovely dark chocolate and the fillings
are just right in taste and flavour. Not too sweet which I appreciate very much.
I detest sugar as an excessive additive when all you can detect is sweetness.
Friars are not the run-of-the-mill confectioners and produce a range of chocolates which
Are fabulous and scrumptious. Please keep up the good work of producing such great products.

I don’t particularly like dark chocolate but friars is so smooth and delicious that it makes milk chocolate look foolish. This set has some of my all time favourites in it. The only down side is that the photo had more of my favourites than the actual box. That’s a little misleading. I see now that the image has been updated but that’s happened a little too late for me as my favourite walnut topped vanilla cream was replaced with a hard caramel - a leave-till-last chocolate.
The Cherry Delux / cherry marzipan is Manna from heaven. I’d do anything for a box full or at least a taster pack of them. I’ve gone three stars because friars is the only place where I spend £30 for a box of chocs and I think that in that case it’s important to provide what you said you would. I still love friars for gifts for family and friends but I’m wary of the fact that I may get what’s available instead of what I ordered.

Not as good as they used to be - the coffee one did not taste of coffee at all, just sweet and sickly. Toffee one seems to have appeared which was not a welcome addition and the cherry truffle was not as good as previously, so feel a bit let down.

Delicious chocolates. Shame you have to damage the lovely box to get the sticky label off to open it.
Bought mail order but the packaging isn't really suitable. The chocs had turned over in the post and the outer box had lots of chocolate crumbs inside it.

I bought the chocolates as a birthday present for a friend so have not tried them myself. However every time she has a chocolate she contacts me to say how delicious they are.
