I have to say that these chocolates were a delightful surprise, never having previously tried Friars chocolates. These are top-drawer chocolates, absolutely delicious and there is such an exciting and interesting range of flavours. When they describe something as (for example)Irish cream flavour, that particular chocolate will definitely have an identifiable taste of Baileys( other Irish creams are available!). With such a deliciously creamy and unfailingly moreish selection of flavours, I will most definitely be ordering my chocolate fix from Friars in future. Highly recommended!!

I bought these for my husband and cannot recommend them enough, they are definitely worth the money! Beautifully packaged and firstly, a real treat for the eyes when you remove the lid as each one is beautifully decorated, you’re spoilt for choice with the selection of flavours and the quality of the chocolate is second to none! Friars will now always without doubt, be my go to place for chocolate in the future.

Excellent product., however, there were severe problems with delivery. In spite of completing the box for delivery information three times!!! the product was delivered to the payees address. This is quite a common fault with some websites, but should be addressed. I will wait until the new year to forward on to its final destination (which is only a few miles from Keswick!).

I was looking for a special box of chocolates and didn't want to buy from the usual big brands that to me all taste the same and have been cheapened and mass produced over the years, which are also a waste of money in my opinion. So I searched the internet and found FRIARS. A long standing family firm based in the Lake District. I purchased their Signature Box. Although Royal Mail were on strike, I still received them in quick time.
The chocolates are clearly hand made and may I add put a well known French chocolate company to shame, as I bought a box from them last Xmas paying over £68 for them and was extremely disappointed.
The different flavours were delicious and I loved the cranberry one best! I would highly recommend if you are a chocolate lover and want true quality. Well done FRIARS I will be purchasing my chocolate from you now on.

I bought it for my boss and I was so disappointed. As well as the fact that it was overpriced, the chocolates were not sealed, you take the top cover off and traa, everything is there (exposed to air!) I wonder if my boss ate them or maybe they were stale, she put them in the bin. I guess I’ll never know!

These are quite exceptionally good chocolates.
We have tried quite a few ‘upscale’ chocolate brands, and I would definitely rate these as amongst the best, if not *the* best.

I bought my wife a box for her return from hospital after a hip replacement operation - she said it almost made the stay in hospital worthwhile!

Wonderful selection of the most gorgeous chocolates, that make a great present. My latest order arrived absolutely on time, recipient delighted ( she’s received them from me previously)

I regret to say that I did not have an opportunity to sample any of the contents of the Signature Chocolate Box I purchased recently, so am unable to comment from first hand experience, but I understand that it was very well received. I will certainly be purchasing more for suitable occasions, and might even be allowed by one of the the recipients to sample something from the contents next time.

I was originally going to buy a large box of chocolates for my wife's birthday from Hotel Chocolate, from whom I order regularly. Unfortunately, due to the effects of the coronavirus, they were unable to deliver before her birthday. I found your company whilst searching online for an alternative chocolatier. Impressed by your history and your pricing (not cheap), I placed an order for your Signature Chocolates - 48.
The attached photograph speaks for itself......This is what my wife was confronted with when she opened the box. Her obvious dismay and disappointment was only exceeded by my embarrassment. The box is far too flimsy and the way it was packaged for delivery totally inadequate. As for the chocolates, they were not a patch on the quality of Hotel Chocolate.
I have given one star because I was unable to send the review with 'no stars'.
Needless to say, I will not be buying anything else from your company or recommending that anybody else does.

When goods arrived the packaging was so bad that although the box was still intact the chocolates were out of the tray and completely mixed up. I reported this to Friars and they were most apologetic and refunded my money.
The actual chocolates, although damaged, were very nice.

Really lovely chocolates. The box was heavy and the chocolates are huge! They were very rich and yummy which meant you could only have 1 or 2 of them a day, which saves you from quickly scoffing the lot. There was good variety and some interesting flavours.

My only critique would be to remove the coffee chocs because no-one likes them and you could have 2 other lovely chocs instead!
