Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, Friars RM Limited takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
Post and Packing
We rely on a third party for all our deliveries and therefore are unable to guarantee delivery dates. Occasionally during busy periods there can be delays that are beyond our control but we will inform customers of any issues that we are aware of.
£3.99 - Standard Delivery Tracked (2-5 working days). FREE when you spend £45 or more in a single transaction per address. Order by 3PM.
£5.99 - Next Working Day Delivery (1 working day). Order by 3PM.
Orders placed on Friday after 3pm for Next Working Day delivery will NOT be dispatched until the following Monday.
Next Working Day Delivery is NOT available for delivery in the Scottish Highlands or any Off-Shore postcodes i.e Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight.
We ONLY dispatch orders Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Currently we only deliver within the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. If an attempt to bypass the system is made and a delivery address outside of the UK is used Friars RM Limited cannot be held responsible if the order is dispatched and lost in transit. Any resulting charges made by Royal Mail for processing the parcel must be paid for by the customer.
To ensure prompt delivery please make sure you enter the correct address and postcode when placing your order, Friars cannot be held responsible for late or failed delivery if the address or postcode are entered incorrectly.
Packing sometimes takes place at weekends and on bank holidays, so you may receive a shipping notification for orders that have been packed, but will not be collected until the next working day.
The majority of parcels are sent with Royal Mail, occasionally large or overweight parcels will be sent with a courier.
We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available or due to the recipient failing to contact their local Royal Mail sorting office or courier depot within a reasonable time to arrange collection or re-delivery. We reserve the right to charge a fee for re-delivery of items that are returned to us for this reason. If a refund is preferred instead of re-delivery then the original postage charge will not be refunded, only the cost of the goods.

If your parcel fails to arrive please contact us as soon as possible, you can find details of how to do this on the contact us page of this website. If your order is lost in transit we will either re-send your order or offer a full refund, including delivery charges.
Placing An Order
When placing your order a phone number will be required. Please be assured that we will only contact you by phone if there is an issue with your order. It may also be supplied to the courier in case of any issues arising with the delivery.
We do not offer a gift wrapping service or personalisation however gift messages can be included in parcels. These are free of charge and can be added on the product page, they are presented on a gift card. We will only send one gift message per order, this will be the first message added to the shopping basket. Please check your message for spelling errors as these are printed automatically and will not be checked by ourselves.
Our eGift Cards are sent electronically on the date you specify to the email address given.
Payment for the gift card will be charged on purchase not on the date of issue and are valid for 12 months from issue.
The value of the gift card is your choice. The gift card will be allocated to the recipient's account in the form of e-wallet credit which can be redeemed at the final stage of the checkout. Confirmation of the Gift Card will only be sent to the purchaser once the order is confirmed by ourselves. Gift Cards can only be cancelled by the purchaser within 1 hour of purchase and will not be valid until a confirmation email is received.
Unwanted Gift Cards can not be returned and card codes can not be used to purchase another gift card.
If the items purchased total less than the gift card amount the remaining funds will stay in the e-wallet to use on the next purchase, if the items purchased exceed the gift card amount the remaining value must be paid by card in order to complete the order. Items bought using gift cards can be returned or exchanged but not refunded, only additional monies paid over and above the gift card will be refunded and a new gift card code will be issued.
We reserve the right to amend these terms & conditions in relation to our products and the purchase of them, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. The terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We accept most major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Solo and Maestro, unfortunately we do not currently accept American Express. Payments can also be made through PayPal and Amazon payments.
When placing an order please enter the registered billing address for your credit or debit card correctly to ensure a prompt service. If your billing address has both a house name and number please ensure the number is also included in the first line of the address as this will be required for the AVS check. Unfortunately we cannot accept payments from cards registered outside of the UK, however, payments can be made through PayPal; it is not necessary to have a PayPal account.
We use a secure payment gateway called Sagepay which uses encrypted data to ensure your transactions are secure, a padlock icon will show up in the bottom right corner to indicate that you are in a secure area.
Pricing and Products
All prices quoted are in £ sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
We reserve the right to make changes to our prices and products at any time without giving notice. All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn from sale at any time. We do our utmost to ensure we have high levels of stock however if for any reason a product you have ordered is unavailable we will notify you as soon as possible.
It is our policy to have a minimum shelf life of 2 months on all products, although most items will have a much longer best before. If you would like to know the best before of a specific item please contact us and we will be happy to provide the information.
Only codes provided by ourselves through our newsletters, emails or social media will work on the website and most will be directly linked to your email address. Any discount codes from third party sites will not work. Only one discount code can be used per order.
Wine and Spirits
Chocolates and gifts which include alcohol may only be ordered by customers aged 18 or over.
If for any reason you wish to cancel your order you have the right to do so in writing up to and within 14 days of delivery in accordance with the distance selling directive. You can contact us using our contact form or alternatively you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.The goods must be returned to us, in good condition and unopened, at the customer's expense. We will refund the purchase price including the original postage charge once we have received the goods.
Every effort is made to ensure our products arrive in perfect condition if however an item is damaged or faulty on arrival please contact us immediately on receipt of the goods. Provided the product is returned to us within 30 days and is unopened and in its original packaging we will either re-send the product or refund the purchase price.
If you are not entirely satisfied with a product for some reason other than it being damaged or faulty please contact us immediately stating your reason for the dissatisfaction. If there is a problem with the product we will refund the purchase price or send a replacement, if however we deem the product to be in a perfect condition then we reserve the right to charge the full amount for the goods.
Subscriptions Terms & Conditions
Including: Signature subscription, Liqueur subscription, English classic subscription.
To set up a subscription you must be registered to a UK address.
Subscriptions must be ordered as a standalone purchase, not with additional products.
Free delivery offer is for UK Standard delivery only.
Subscription deliveries must be cancelled before midnight the day before your next dispatch is due. Any cancellation requests received after this time will apply after the ‘in progress’ delivery has been made.
When starting your subscription, we aim to despatch your first delivery immediately, subject to stock availability. Further amendments can then be made via My Account.
Unless you request otherwise, subscription deliveries will be sent every month, on or around the same calendar day. We reserve the right to amend or change this date.
Subscriptions require a valid payment card upon registration. This card will be used for payment in advance of each order being placed. In the event that a card payment is not successful, the subscription delivery and any other requested products will not be sent. You will be notified if a payment has not been processed.
No discount codes/special offers may be applied to a subscription order.
You may request to skip a subscription delivery via My Account. Your next delivery won’t be sent and will resume again for the next scheduled delivery.
Prices are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed.
You cannot pay for a subscription with your ewallet.
When you place an order with us you can checkout as a guest or you may want to create a user account in order to make future purchases a much simpler process. To do this we will need to collect certain information about you, this will include your name, address, contact telephone number and e-mail address. We will also collect credit or debit card information in order to process payments, however this is through a secure server and the details are not stored. When you open an account you will need to create a username and password in order to access your account, please keep this information confidential as Friars RM Limited cannot be held responsible for any misuse of your account. Please inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe your account is being used in an unauthorised manner.
